My Little Elf

Hmmm...
Arg I can't think of anything to write about! Ok, so elves and fairies aren't real or anything but I'm desperate. So my Language arts teacher Mr. Streit told my class about some made up elf that lives on our shoulders and whispers to us about what to write. Oh little elf... Come out come out wherever you are... Grr nothing. Wait what about that little kid story about that lamp that if you rub it a genie pops out. Hmm but that lamp looks like a teapot and being 4'11" I can't reach the teapot at my house. Well I have a real lamp... If teapot lamps produce genies maybe real lamps produce elves. Well no one is around to laugh at me and I have no ideas of what to write about whatsoever. Alright I'm by the lamp *rub rub* nothing wow I'm shocked. Well what if I turned the lamp on... *rub rub*
*POOF!*
I look over to my right shoulder, nothing. I look to my left shoulder- "Ello mate g-day to ya!" "AAAH!" "Oi! whats all the racket about? I'm Benny your personal idea elf! ow can I elp you today?"

Flies

Flies, why are they so dumb? Is it really necessary that they're around? They just fly around landing on us and buzzing in our ears. How do they even make that sound? It's so weird, not to mention annoying. What purpose does it serve? alerting predators? "Hey I'm over here come eat me!" Oh and don't forget about their favorite hobby: standing on poop! Fun... Don't flies taste with their feet I don't even want to think about it. Jeez flies have lots of design flaws when evolution decided how flies were going to evolve it obviously had too coffee because flies seem to serve no purpose. But though we think they're stupid they might think the opposite. Have you ever thought about how much flies take advantage of us? When they come in our house in the summer they're relaxing in the luxury of our Air Conditioning. And in my opinion more interesting: When they fly in our cars they're hitchhiking. Imagine how weird it would be to get in a car without knowing and a while later poof you're in a new place. Wait! Maybe they do it on purpose. If they have some reason to go they hop in a car and bam they get to start their life over.

Ignored

Have you ever been ignored by a friend? I have, and let me tell you it's awful. But what's worse is if you don't know what you did wrong. Makes it pretty hard to make things right doesn't it? Being ignored is hard. It makes you feel terrible but at the same time angry because you can't fix anything if the person will simply walk away when you try to talk to them. I used to have a friend who would ignore me every time I did something they didn't like. It could be little stuff or big issues. Sometimes she would ignore me if I got mad at her just to avoid confrontation. Whatever way it was horribly frustrating. And every time I would come crawling back to this friend. I would beg for her to tell me what I did wrong, to forgive me for whatever it was I did. I did this Every. Single. Time. and believe me there were loads of times. This just showed her that her technique worked. We got through 6th grade just fine, our first year without a single fight ignoring session. I thought she had finally grew up, matured, moved on. But no, she did it again. but this was the worst of all. We went to a summer camp together we had fun for 1 day, then it happened. I noticed she hadn't been hanging out with me, we signed up for this camp together, so I tried to talk to her, I said: hey, are you mad at me? she looked over my shoulder and walked away. But this time I was not having it, I decided that no, no this time I was not crawling back. And I didn't. We haven't talked since. She is still ignoring me. Ignoring is going on all around us, people think it works, that if you ignore them your problems will go away, but ignoring doesn't work, it doesn't solve anything. Ignoring is even enforced to young kids by some adults they'll say "If someone is bothering you you could try ignoring them and they'll probably go away," well that's nice but hey, welcome to the real world. Welcome to the real world where ignoring gets us nowhere. Welcome to the real world where ignoring problems that may seem small can turn those problems into something so, so much worse. Welcome to the real world where ignoring gets you to a point where you don't know how to change your life anymore because every problem you have is bottled up inside you, ignored.

My Love Hate/Relationship With Mornings

Mornings ugh. I suppose I have to say more than just that...       On one hand mornings can be great they can be easy and smooth and they can bring along a great day full of happiness and excitement. But on the other hand mornings can stink. It's usually impossible to get up, you have to go through the process of realizing your dreams last night weren't real (which can be good or bad depending on your dream), and the whole time you're just hoping that existence is cancelled today. And sometimes you get to work/school/other and realize it wasn't worth it at all because your day didn't turn out that great. On second thought I suppose I mostly just have a hate relationship with mornings.

A Trip to Nowhere

"Where are you going on spring break?" I've been asked. "Well..." I say "I'm going on a trip to nowhere." And they laugh and think it's funny, but for some reason it sounds kind of meaningful and deep to me, like nowhere is a place or something so I thought to myself: maybe I'll blog about it...

Nowhere...
Nowhere is a place. It is filled with nothing, nothing at all Sometimes you take yourself there willingly just to think or sort things out. You see there are no distractions in nowhere there are billions of beings in nowhere but nowhere is so vast that you will never see anyone there except you. But sometimes you are tied up and forced into nowhere against your will by people who don't believe they can peacefully coexist with you so they push you down into nowhere. But even if you are in nowhere just know that no matter what the people who love and care about you will allways help you out of nowhere if you let them.

♥️ My Soul Mate Horse ♥️

I ride horses. I love it. Most of you know this because horses are pretty much all I talk about. I ride at Bolder Pointe Equestrian Center. It is amazing, their horses are awesome, and the people there... well I don't think I've ever met a nicer group of people. They are all really sweet and caring, and they all know what they're doing around horses. So anyway, about the picture. That's Levi. He is my favorite horse to ride. Actually he's pretty much my favorite horse in the world. He's gentle and nice, and he's generally pretty chill but, I mean he's a horse, they all have their days of being crazy and weird. He's so cute! And he always takes really good care of me:) I love him so much. Today's lesson was particularly good. We trotted, we jumped we walked a course then trotted it, we cantered to, and at the end  I rode him bareback. The whole time he was an angel. he was so good. He was super obedient, he was at a good speed, and he was super calm the whole time. Definitely one of the best lessons I've ever had. And I hadn't ridden Levi for about 3 weeks so it was really nice to ride my soul mate horse again. I love him so much. There are no words I could use to properly describe how much I love him and how amazing of a horse he is ♥️ ♥️ ♥️

The Art of Being Sick

When you're sick you tell yourself: "I'm going to go to bed early, maybe I'll feel better in the morning if I get a little extra sleep tonight," but it never works out. You get in bed, you realize you forgot to turn the lights off so you get up and turn them off, you try to fall asleep. Ten minutes later you're still awake. Whether you're up because you feel disgusting or you're up because you're coughing your lungs out, falling asleep just. Does not. Work. You relax, you count sheep, and once you run out of sheep you count goats, you count backwards from  10, then 20 but nothing does any good. Now it's an hour later than you wanted to go to bed and you're nowhere near falling asleep. You wonder: would sleeping have worked out if I just went to bed when I usually do? This is the painful and unenjoyable art, of being sick.
